This week, we have a chat with Jake Parker, head of the Beijing office of USCBC. First on the docket is China’s Q1 economic data; why did growth slightly beat expectations? Next up is enforcement; in a final trade deal with China, what should we look for as positive signs for strong enforcement–or major red flags? Finally, the Foreign Investment Law is still on our radar, primarily for how it will be implemented. The NDRC has asked for member company input on implementing regulations and Jake gives an overview of what we have so far.

If your USCBC member company is interested in submitting comments on the Foreign Investment Law you can find a comment submission document here and can send it along to anyone on our staff at the office nearest to you. Find a list of contacts here!
