GreenTech Automotive, an American manufacturer of all-electric vehicles, and JAC Motors, a Chinese automotive manufacturer, announced on April 22 a joint venture that will develop a five-passenger, all-electric sedan to be assembled in the United States. The sedan will feature a battery with a range of more than 100 miles on a single charge and a charge time of 6-8 hours. GreenTech will assemble the vehicles in its Mississippi facility and plans to distribute exclusively in North America beginning in late 2013.
